PassGen (Privacy Policy)

Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 30, 2026

PassGen ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PassGen handles information when you use our Password Generator application.

1. Information We Collect
PassGen is designed to generate passwords directly on your device.

We do not require you to create an account to use the main password-generation features, and we do not intentionally collect or store the passwords generated by the app.

Depending on the features and services enabled in the app, limited technical information may be processed by third-party services such as advertising or analytics providers.

2. Generated Passwords
Passwords generated by PassGen are created locally on your device.

We do not intentionally upload generated passwords to our servers or sell generated passwords to third parties.

You are responsible for keeping any generated password secure after copying, saving, or using it elsewhere.

3. Clipboard
If you use the copy feature, a generated password may temporarily be placed on your device's clipboard so that you can paste it into another application.

PassGen does not intentionally transmit clipboard contents to our servers.

Other applications on your device may have access to clipboard data depending on your operating system and device configuration.

4. Data Storage
PassGen may store application preferences locally on your device, such as password-generation settings.

These preferences are used to improve your experience and are not intended to contain your generated passwords unless a future feature explicitly provides password-saving functionality.

5. Advertising and Third-Party Services
If advertising is enabled in PassGen, third-party advertising providers may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

This information may include device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, or interaction information used for advertising and measurement.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services integrated into the app.

6. Children's Privacy
PassGen is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.

7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information associated with the application.

However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should never share sensitive passwords unnecessarily.

8. Your Responsibility
PassGen is a password-generation utility. You are responsible for how you use generated passwords.

We recommend using unique passwords for important accounts and storing them securely in a trusted password manager when appropriate.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features or services change.

Any updated version will be made available through the application or its associated website.
